Dedicated to safe and fun

swimming for the whole family

Founded in the late1960s, the Woodberry Hills Swim Club is a unique neighborhood sports club located in New Hartford, NY. WHSC has long been the premier swim club of the Mohawk Valley providing a first class swimming experience for families and individuals. The heated  L-shaped pool, the largest of it's kind in the area, is enjoyed by thousands of swimmers each summer.  With a 12' deep end suitable for diving and competitive lap swimming as well as a 24 inch shallow end, the pool is perfect for swimmers of all ages and abilities to gain skills and fitness in the water while also having fun.  In addition to our pool, our premises include a clubhouse, toddler area, basketball court and two tennis courts that are used for both lessons and recreation.

While the majority of our members are from New Hartford, there is growing interest from, and we welcome members from all surrounding communities.  Our goal is to create a family-centered, safe, enjoyable environment for all of our members by providing a variety of special events, fitness offerings and opportunities that are recreational and/or instructional in nature.

The 2019 season drew hundreds of swimmers to our facility for swimming lessons and thousands of swimmers to our pool during open swimming hours.  Home of the Waves, the WHSC also boasts a successful competitive swim team which hosts a minimum of two swim meets each season, the finale of which is the Central New York Swim Club championship meet.  At this event, we welcome dozens of swimmers and hundreds of guests to our facilities where kids as young as 4 show off their skills in the water!

The club underwent a major renovation to the pool in 2015! The pool has been completely resurfaced with a state of the art fiberglass liner system. The pool's supporting infrastructure has been refurbished and upgraded as well. This major investment will ensure many years of reliable and safe operations.
